Michael S Hulen
Mr. Hulen is the founder and CEO of Infrared Power Systems, LLC, and a recognized authority in emissive heat transfer and infrared optics. A physicist by training and serial entrepreneur, he has launched and led multiple companies in the semiconductor and electro-optics industries, including Phase4 Infrared and Novotech, Inc.
His ventures have advanced materials for CO₂ lasers, night vision, and aerospace applications. With studies at UVM, Harvard, and MIT, Mr. Hulen holds multiple patents and is currently focused on pioneering tandem solar technology and infrared power beaming to unlock next-generation clean energy systems.
Dr. Robert Cruickshank, FSCtE, SMIEEE
Dr. Robert Cruickshank is a recognized leader in clean energy and advanced power systems. With decades of experience in electrical engineering, he has pioneered innovations that shape the future of sustainable energy. As a Fellow of the Society of the Collegiate Teaching of Engineering and a Senior Member of IEEE, Dr. Cruickshank brings both technical depth and visionary leadership to every project.
His work bridges the gap between research and real-world application, driving forward the mission of IR Power Systems to deliver efficient, scalable, and future-ready energy solutions.
Robert Winkler
Robert Winkler, founder of Focused Sensing System Solutions LLC, is an engineering advisor with a robust background in physics and extensive experience in optomechanical design across military, space, and infrared systems. His company is dedicated to the rapid, cost-effective development of optical sensor systems, guiding projects from concept through full-scale system modeling and design.
Robert’s expertise in advanced sensing solutions has significantly contributed to enhancing capabilities in defense and aerospace sectors.
